SHERWOOD S-8000 FM-FM MPX RECEIVER
This stereo receiver came out of a one owner estate. This vacuum tube beauty is right from the very late 50's and early 60's before germanium transistors plagued the hi-fi industry. It is an all vacuum tube receiver in working condition and is powered with 2 pairs of 7868 power tubes. It is rated at 32 watts per channel IHFM. This is not one of those cheesy low priced receivers but was one of the premier units being built during that era. It uses premium output tubes and drivers being 12AX7's from Europe. It is in very good physical condition and was working well when we plugged it in. We did not restore it, since it was working so we are selling it with the warranty that it is working and is sold as is. The shipping weight on this will warrant our medium $ 60 packing, shipping and insurance rate via UPS. You don't want this one to get away from you without heavy and proper packing and full insurance. SOLD See previous page for ordering link |
H.H. SCOTT 222D STEREO AMPLIFIER
This amplifier/preamplifier is an H.H. Scott 222D. It may not be pretty but it is working. It came from an estate and needs a new set of knobs on it, some front panel cleaning and the rest would be history . . . . because it is in working condition when we tested it. This is one of those old tube amplifiers that people are wanting to go back to because they sound so great! It only took 40 years for people to finally figure out that tubes always did sound better than transistors! Viva the vintage years! Shipping via the medium size radio category. This is a 48 watt integrated amplifier according to the H.H. Scott website. At this price, this should be a good restoration project for a vintage amplifier enthusiast.
