Radio Auction Results

The  following tabulation is from several auctions in the last 2 years and represents what some items in
radio and communications categories achieved in live auctions.  These values will only mean something
to you if you are very familiar with the radio model numbers or descriptions that are given.  Auction results
vary on similar items simply based on time of the year, persons attending, and east coast versus west
coast variations in prices.  The following descriptions will indicate the reviewers estimate of condition,
with a note of the type of equipment, manufacturer and price result from the auction.  Radio Era Archives
can appraise and value your radio if this is important to you.  Just go to the order system and tell us what
you have and we will gladly respond.

Auction Results - Random List from Several Previous Radio Auctions
You will need the Antique Radio Collectors 5th Edition Book
to know what these models number represent - http://www.radioera.com/newbooks.htm
The below listing of condition generally describes the condition of a radio physically.
A radio that meets the below descriptions and that works electrically well, loud and
clear will always bring perhaps 2x the prices listed.
e=excellent - a radio in excellent original condition - not necessarily working but
in great physical condition and with all of the original parts and tubes being present.
vg=very good - a radio that shows a little more wear than one in "excellent condition"
but with all of the original parts and tubes being present.
g=good, a radio in nice condition, physically okay but showing the wear of years of
use since production, needs to have all of the parts present, not necessarily all tubes
n=nice, a radio in nice condition, may have a tube or 2 missing, shows age, but still
physically in okay condition - purely a subjective call on the part of the reviewer . . .
f=fair, a radio in not so good physical condition - one that has possible peeling of the
finish, a problem with vaneer, some possible rusting of chassis, missing parts
p=poor, real problem radio, missing parts, missing vaneer, rusting of chassis,
PS power supply, w=with, w/o=without
