Using the Red-Lettered Prefixes above, you can search the entire database for all items indexed by CATEGORY, by putting in the thing you are most interested in, such as "CAT" for Catalogs.  This will bring up EVERY catalog in our archive that is indexed this way. See  further detailed instructions for other search criteria below:

Category
Manufacturer or Author
Model or Description

Please note that all that you find in this extensive collection of books, manuals and information have been digitized and we make high resolution prints of the original item so as to preserve it digitally.  Much of what we have digitized was loaned to us so we do not have originals for sale.  From time to time, however, we may have an original so please ask if this is what you want, but we have very few originals.  Most publications are of high quality but some of the scarce information that we have was obtained from poor copies and we cannot make the copy better than the original.  However, we do warrant that while in these instances, the copy may not be pristine, it will be readable and that is basically what we are here for, to preserve the information and to make it available for all time.  We are in the information business and because of obvious reasons, we do not accept returns on printed materials or information created as digital media.

You can search our database of over 60,000 manuals, instruction manuals, and all sorts of old radio information (Category=INFO).  This information falls into the categories of informative, technical and even historical.  You can find what we have or what you are looking for by entering information in the form below.  The Manufacturer or Author data field is fairly specific because only these two category names will be found using this data search field.  As an example if you are interested in an owners manual for Collins Radio, simply put in the name "Collins" in manufacturer/author data field and click submit, which will return ALL Collins Radio items only.  However, you can put random information into the next field, "Model or Description".  You need to make sure your spelling is correct but you do not have to have the full or proper name of what you are entering as it will look for "EXACTLY" what you enter in either (NOT BOTH) of the data entry fields below.  Example:  Entering the letters first in the manufacturer or author data field will return "FISHER" from Fisher Radio fame.  The second data field is generally the name of the manufacturer or trade name of the item and in some cases will be the name of the author of a book, ie, "Chapman" in A. Chapman who wrote the Radio Boys series books. The category "INFO" will give you a very large listing of all kinds of radio/hi-fi information.  If you are looking for information on a "signal generator" or "sound projector", leave the first data field empty and simply type in those words in the model or description field.  "Sound projector" brings up an interesting book by Western Electric, while "signal generator" brings up a large number of different manufacturers who made signal generators including a book on radio repair by signal substitution with a signal generator!

The following listing of descriptive names is indicated as to what each item is . . . as you can see there is much more than just operator or instruction manuals or service manuals, and if you are interested in "information" about something, use the model/description field as indicated above to try to search on the word, words or word patterns that you are interested in.  This is an extensive database with over 60,000 listings and growing.  Please note that it takes approximately 10 days from our processing of your order to mail your manual.  This is generally the longest delay based on getting non-digitized manuals from our warehouse and processing them for your order.  If the manual has already been digitized, the delay is generally only a day or two and in many cases can be mailed the same day ordered.

Enter Data Below in only ONE FIELD at a time ! Try the manufacturers name first before trying for a model number. Then if you don't find something under a manufacturer name, try a model or description in the 2nd field and search again. Usually, a manufacturers name will bring up a large list that you can scroll down to find what you are looking for. The following displays what the various categories are in the database.  Remember, the more field's of data that you input in your search will cause the search to be very restrictive.  As an example, entering all three fields as "CAT" for the first field, "ALLIED" for the second field and "1931", will return you a 1931 Allied Radio Catalog by itself.   If you are looking for schematics for equipment, go to our home page by clicking HERE and click the box for either Riders or SMS schematics based on the age of your radio or radio/phono.

We have a lot of listings with no manufacturers name, author of model, but there is a lot of descriptive information in the "Description" area of the database.  Just as an example, if you were interested in finding out something about old hi-fidelity enclosures, just put the word "enclosure" in the Description field and see what you get.  You don't even have to completely spell it, because the letters "encl" will give you the same results as the complete word in the model or description data field.  Delivery is between 1 and 10 days depending on whether we have digitized these manuals already or not.  So if you order, you can expect a delivery delay if we haven't already digitized your manual request.  If you are unsure as to delivery, please ask.

To find any type of military manual, regardless of equipment nomenclature such as AN/ARC5, you can use "MILITARY" in the manufacturer column and get all military manuals listed.  Of course, you can also try the equipment designation in the Model/Information data column as well to try to narrow down your search.  All military manuals are listed under the manufacturer heading "MILITARY".Enter Data Below in only ONE FIELD at a time ! Try the manufacturers name first before trying for a model number. Then if you don't find something under a manufacturer name, try a model or description in the 2nd field and search again. Usually, a manufacturers name will bring up a large list that you can scroll down to find what you are looking for.

Sorry for the lengthy set of instructions but understanding how to operate the database engine will be helpful to your searches !
