John F. Riders (REA) Database Schematic Information Search Page

IMPORTANT - READ INFO BELOW ON HOW TO USE THIS DATABASE SEARCH !

                Radio Name
           Model Number

This is a new function of our website.  In the Riders series there are over 45,000 schematics for over 120,000 different model numbers by the different manufacturers of radios from 1915 to about 1953.  We have 2 data fields where you may enter search criteria.  Manufacturer Name and Model Number.  If you only have a Manufacturer name, just use the Manufacturer's Name column only.  If you have a model number, use only the Model Number field first.  If you combine and fill in multiple fields, you will narrow the search, but you may also not get what you are looking for.  One problem is that you don't know how the names of the manufacturers were put into the data base.  If you put in "RCA", you will only find some General Electric (Old RCA) listings. because RCA as a company was input as "R.C.A." . . So when using the first column for manufacturer searching, use as much of a name as you can come up with. We do not use wild cards for searching because this causes the system to look for somewhat of an exact match.  If you input a Manufacturer Name of Philco and a Model number of 70, you will get every instance where the numbers 70 appear even though some may be like "2070" or "702".  We believe it is better to do as much pattern matching as possible to help you find what you are looking for.  Using the "Philco and 70" as a make & model search, you would find a listing that looks like this:

16524 Philco Radio & Television Corp. 70
16523 Philco Radio & Television Corp. 70
16522 Philco Radio & Television Corp. 70
16521 Philco Radio & Television Corp. 70

It found a Philco model 70 and the listing shows 4 Radio Era part numbers yet the rest of the data is the same.  Why?  Because the database has 4 listings for the Philco 70 but all pages are not the same.  This happened because each page was individually indexed page by page.  Obviously there is a listing & schematic for a Philco 70 so even you don't see that there is a line or nomenclature about a "schematic", go ahead and click on any of these four listings by adding to your cart and we will make sure you get all of the information for a Philco Model 70.  There were new Model 70 data, older serial number Model 70, and changes for this model.  When you click on any Philco 70 item, you will get ALL of the information for this model.

Enter Data Below in only ONE FIELD at a time! Using both fields will narrow down your search and may come up empty.  Try the model number field first.  If you don't find something under model , put in a manufacturer name and see everything that is there for that name.  Put in simplified names, such as "GAROD", "CROSLEY", STROMBERG" or "PHILCO".  Just inputing the manufactur name only will return ALL of the models for that manufacturer.  If you don't know the Manufacturer's name or model number.  If all you have is a chassis number, we will have to search further for your radio and you will have to contact us or call us.

If you think this is complicated, sorry, we're trying to make it easier for you to order and cut down on the phone calls to the office to find out if we have this schematic or that schematic.  If you can't find it using the database search, this DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE DON"T HAVE IT.  In this case, go to the bottom of the page where you can order on-line and just fill in the blank for what you are wanting.  If we can't find it, we will let you know.  Even though there are over 120,000 models in this database, we get calls all of the time for model numbers that simply do not exist using that model number. Especially in the early days of radios, there are thousands of radios that just do not have any service information.  But we can find a suitable schematic by doing a search for it and we usually find one that matches your radio.  A Riders Schematic Search is $ 18.00.  We also have an alternative to REA doing the search for a proper schematic.  We have a publication of 100 various old battery operated schematics available for $ 18.00.  With this publication of 100 Riders schematics you can do your own search and perhaps find one that matches the old battery set that you have.  See shopping cart below for ordering this publication.

RIDERS SEARCH SCHEMATIC FOR BOTH BATTERY SETS AND AC OPERATED SETS:

The below order entry is a way to order without using the database search fields at the top of this page.  Just input the radio manufacturers name and model number below, do a submit, and we'll take care of the rest.
